PICTURES!!!

Luke is growing so much. He went to the doctor yesterday for his two week check up and he is now 7lbs 5oz and 21 inches long. He is 90% for length and 20% for his weight so that means he is tall and skinny:) Matt and I are doing great we are looking forward to Aunt Leslie coming to visit this weekend. Luke is so blessed to have an aunt like her that would travel from NYC to come see him. Enjoy the recent pictures of our boy Luke.

Don't have any recent pictures but here is one from the hospital.

Hello Everyone! The Halliday family is doing great. Luke is now over a week old and his is growing and changing so much. He is such a good baby and we have enjoyed every moment with him. Matt went back to work this week on Wednesday and I have been handling things very well at home. Matt has his first call/over night on Saturday so we will see how everything works out with night time feedings. My parents are coming in town for the weekend and I know they are excited about seeing Luke again. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family and a husband that is truly great and understanding.

Luke is Home

I have finally had a chance to get to the computer and update the blog. Luke is 3 days old today and he is already changing so much. Thank you for all your love and support. I am feeling well and am enjoying being a mother. Matt and I are adjusting well to parenting and Matt has done an awesome job as a dad. I am so lucky to have him as my husband. If you haven't heard, Luke Frederic Halliday was born today at 12:58 PM weighing 7lb 3oz and 20.5 inches long. Luke is doing great and Laura did awesome today. Thank you so much for all your prayer, love, support, and encouragement through this whole process. He is truly a blessing from the Lord and we look forward to seeing all the new exciting this that the Lord has planned for him. Here are some pics from today.

Exciting!!!

The time has come... we will be heading to the hospital tonight at 6pm and tomorrow morning I will be induced. We are very excited and pray that everything goes well for both mom and baby. Our family will be coming in town tonight and tomorrow. Please continue to pray for an easy delivery tomorrow. We will keep everyone updated and let you know when Luke is born and get some pictures up on the blog! Other exciting news is our friends Brett and Ruth Ann had their baby girl Anne Elliot on Sunday morning! We are hoping to meet Anne Elliot today:) Such an exciting time!

Weekend

It was such a beautiful weekend in Birmingham! Matt had the weekend off so we were able to get some last minute things done and spend some time outside in God's beautiful creation. We planted some flowers, planted new grass seed and Matt started a vegetable garden. I am grateful for the time we spent together.

Baby Luke

I went to the doctor today and we are going to induce on Tuesday because my blood pressure was still high. I will go into the hospital on Monday night at 6:00 and stay the night and then begin to induce on Tuesday morning. We are so excited to have our little boy here soon! Please pray for an easy delivery for Laura because we don't want to have a c-section if things don't go as planned. We are at peace with the decision made by the doctor and are looking forward to meeting Luke. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers over the past few weeks.

I am at home on bed rest and I decided to start a blog! We are expecting our first baby on March 31st and we can't wait to meet our little boy Luke. We are excited about sharing this blog with family and friends as we post new news, pictures and stories as we begin our lives as parents.
