Pumpkin Patch

We took Luke to pick out a pumpkin last weekend and he had a great time!  We thought about going to a "real" pumpkin patch but decided that this year we were just going to go to a local church and pick out a pumpkin.

We found the perfect pumpkin!  Luke is trying to pick it up.

Luke found one just right for his little hands.

This is Luke's pumpkin.  It is getting harder these days to get pictures of him... he will not look at me when I want to take his picture:P

 Giving Daddy kisses!

Luke found an acorn!  His new favorite thing and he will carry it with him all day.

He has put down the pumpkin so he can carry his acorn.

Sweet boy holding both is acorn and pumpkin.

His favorite thing to do with the pumpkin... drop or throw it!

Showing us his acorn and pumpkin.

This picture says Fall!!!  Pumpkins and football:)

Clemons Football

This weekend we went to the Clemson vs Furman football game.  We had a great time seeing family and friends and cheering on the Clemson Tigers!  It was a 3pm game so it was pretty hot but we all had a good time:)

Luke and Matt at the start of the Clemson game.

Luke watching the Clemson game but as you can tell he was a little unhappy and hot!

 Half time... nap time:)

Long time friends from Northbrook UMC.  We were all in the youth group together:)

Family picture after the Clemson game... Luke is so tired.

Sunday morning boat ride with Pops.  Luke loves to drive the boat.

Kiawah Island

We went on a family vacation with the Kennedy family to Kiawah Island near Charleston SC.  We had been there many summers in the past but the last time we were there Luke was 3 months old. So we were excited about taking him to the beach and playing in the sand and swimming in the ocean.  Well it didn't work out quite like we had planned... Luke didn't really like the beach!  Over all we had a good time with family and were able to meet up with friends.  Here are some pictures from our beach trip.
First trip out to the beach upon arrival to the condo.
Did not enjoy the sand!  Didn't really enjoy the water either!
Much happier way up high on daddy's shoulders.
Day two... sitting on tarp with mommy and a shovel.
Seems to be getting used to the beach.
Day three we put shoes on so he would not feel the sand under his feet and he seemed to like it better.
He would just sit in one spot and play in the sand with a shovel and bucket of water.
 Such a strong little boy:)
Enjoying a night on the beach.
Day four he ventured out to the water with Grandpa and ME:)
At the beach with Aunt Leslie.
 Luke did enjoy bike riding!
Luke also enjoyed the pool that had so many fun things... like these swings.
Luke and his friend Hudson playing at the beach...
Drip castles with ME.  He really just liked dripping the sand on his feet.
WOW!  I turned around and he was off to the ocean!  It may have taken a week to get there but he did it!
Crawling away from the waves.  Lets hope next summer it doesn't take him that long;)
Dinner at the Ocean Course Golf Club.
 With Grandpa
Fun was had by all!
